Beach Street
Peter and Elin retired Gippsland farmers, avid bird watchers and gardeners wanted a natural contemporary design that was placed lightly into their block and not to encroach onto their well established trees and garden.
Site Considerations:
The removal of an existing beach shack was required with this we had to preserve the existing trees and garden. A level block with a north south orientation. Its imperative to maintain existing flora and forna and maximise northerly solar gain.
Specific Requirements:
To maintain as much vegetation on the site as possible. Elin really wanted a kitchen at the front of the house so she could maintain a connection with the front of the street. They also required a house that was accessible for mobility their older years.
